The Club Membership Rules
Updated 1st of November 2022 - The Club Billiard is open to its´members and their guests according to the rules and regulations stated here below!
General:
In addition to the usual pool room services, The Club Billiard offers the opportunity to become a member (Full Member or Darts Member) to play Pool Billiards and Darts with other members and friends every day from 07:00am to 01:00am - except for large private events, in which case the whole room will be closed for the time of the occasion. Deviating opening hours will be notified to members in advance by e-mail, in addition to which they can be seen in the booking system. The premises have an alarm system, recording camera surveillance and recording electronic access control. It is strictly forbidden to bring any kind of alcoholic beverages to The Club's premises or even to the entire building, eg the stairwell!
Joining and unsubscribing:
Becoming a member does not require a commitment for a longer period. Membership requires that the person is 18 years of age or older (ask us for Junior Full Membership) with the written consent of parents, an approved membership application, and the paid membership fee and monthly game fee for the current month. Please bring your ID when you pick up your key & membership card. Upon termination of membership, monthly game fees already invoiced will not be refunded. Membership is therefore valid until the already invoiced period expires. After that, the membership expires.
Alarm system & monitoring:
The alarm system is activated daily from 01.10 to 06.59. You must leave the premises at night in good time. The member who caused the alarm to go off is obliged to reimburse the costs incurred. Doors should always be closed carefully and should never be opened to anyone. All members use their own key when entering the premises. Only own guests (max. 3 / member) are allowed on the premises. The premises have a recording camera surveillance as well as a recording electronic access control, both of which enable remote surveillance.
Bookings & guests:
Pool tables should always be booked through the booking system.
Each member has the opportunity to book a maximum of three (3) guest.
Note! Reservations must always be made for all guests. Guests always stay on the premises under the responsibility of the member . Guest game fees will be charged to the member, according to the price list, once a month.
NOTE! Members of the levels "Full Member" and "Darts Member" can only make reservations through the booking system for hours outside of opening hours - pls. see the hours we are open to the public at the bottom of this page.
During opening hours, these members play at a reduced price by presenting their membership card at the counter/Bar - so remember to keep Your membership card with You whenever You visit The Club Billiard!
NOTE! Full Members are guaranteed to book a minimum of 2 hours even for opening hours (Tuesday-Tuesday) - the reservation must be made no later than two (2) hours before the Billiard room opens for the day, i.e. at 2:59 p.m. ATTENTION! On Fridays and Saturdays during opening hours there is one pool table earmarked for Full Members (with the exception of larger events when the entire billiard room is reserved). If this so-called Full Member table happens to be free and all the other pool tables are booked, then also the Full Member table will be given to other arriving customers. Full Members can also play for free at other pooltables on Fridays and Saturdays during opening hours until 19:00pm, this only if there is room on these other tables. Meaning that one always have to give room for other arriving customers or pre-reservation that happend to drop in. If a Full Member wants to play on a pooltable other than the Full Member table after 19:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays, they should always make a reservation in good time by sending a WhatApp message to the billiard rooms' phone number 0400897199. On those occasions The Full Members will get that table fee reduced to the student price.
A one-hour reservation can start at any time, but it always ends every hour. Reservations can only be made by a member with their own IDs, either in advance or on site, for example by using their own mobile phone (according to membership). It is possible to cancel the reservation no later than 6 hours before the start of the actual playing time. All irrevocable times will be billed in full, regardless of whether it was played or not.
Alcoholic beverages:
It is strictly forbidden to bring any kind of alcoholic beverages to The Club Billiard premises or even to the whole building, eg to the stairwell. There is a recording camera surveillance throughout the room as well as on the front doors. Violation of this rule will result in immediate termination of membership and a gate ban on The Club Billiard!
Cleanliness:
Good and civilized behavior is required of anyone staying at or in the immediate vicinity of The Club. Behavior that harasses other members should be avoided at all costs. Members should take care of the general cleanliness. Garbage, etc. should be placed in the appropriate containers. After playing, the equipment should be put in the right places and the balls in the ball polishing machine. Eating chips, nuts and other fatty foods while playing is prohibited to prevent fat from sticking to billiard equipment. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of The Club, including the stairwell. There are ashtrays for smoking near the front doors. Pets are not allowed on the premises either. Any deficiencies or equipment failures must be reported immediately to the e-mail address info@theclub.fi or in case of emergency by calling 050 355 6676. If a member causes damage to furniture, the member is liable for compensation.
Breach of the rules:
Violation of the rules will always lead to at least a warning and, in the most serious cases (e.g. bringing your own alcoholic beverages into the building), to terminate the membership. If membership is terminated due to a violation of the rules, membership fees already paid will not be refunded. By becoming a member, you agree to abide by all general rules.
The Club Billiard reserves the right to change the rules. If a member does not accept the new rules, has he or she the right to terminate his or her membership.
